Micah Electric Co.

Our experience with Micah Electric started off poorly. We had trouble making an appointment and their scheduler disappeared for a week in the middle of our communications. So why 5 stars? Micah contacted us, apologized for the mix-up, then honored an initial estimate that was a couple of hours shy of the actual work. The electrician was skilled and friendly and, in the end, I felt exceptionally well taken care of. I will turn to Micah Electric for my electrical needs going forward.

Lets put it this way, I had a whole house panel upgrade in a 1906 house. When PGE came the worker said. MICAH Electric Co! They are the best and make our job so easy because they do everything right. In addition, they were all loving their job, having fun, super respectful and cleaned up after it was all done. Micah was so cool too when he came over to asses the job. It was worth the money. It feels good long term. Exceeds my needs

Excellent work, but above all: trustworthy. While not the absolute cheapest, this is a case where if you are willing to spend just a tad more you will get the job done till it's done correctly. Here's what happened: Micah and his crew installed an EV charger at my house, and it was an unusual set up where he was also coordinating my solar panels with the EV charger. It turned out to be way more complicated than any of us expected. However, after charging his base rate, Micah (the boss) came back day after day without charging extra and personally saw to it that everything synced as it should. He would say things like, "I just want to see this to completion." and "I want it done right". I'm not sure where else you get the president of a company personally spends time at your site until the job is absolutely done right. Also, you should see how tidy and neat the work is. I strongly advise paying just a tad extra for his reliability, correctness, fit and finish, and trustworthiness. Micah is a man of his word and will get the job done.

Had a discussion to replace an outdoor lighting fixture on a warehouse in San Leandro. After back and forth on service call, I was told they'd get back to me to schedule. Next day a cryptic note comes telling me the "owner won't warranty a new fixture. I'd have to buy it, and they'd install it". This is so wrong on many levels. Probably the most important is for them to investigate further to see if they couldn't just change the bulb INSIDE of the fixture. I called, pointed this out to Kaliah, she told me she'd talk with Micah and get back to me. I never heard back. It's a 1 for response and inability to capably set up a service call.

Micah Electric upgraded my panel, installed an EV charger, and updated a bunch of old wiring in my house. They did a fantastic job and found several things that had been done DIY by previous owners that I'll just say I now sleep better knowing are out of my house. The work was done quickly and courteously. I also appreciated Micah discussing different options with me, so I could pick what made best sense for me (like leaving a breaker open for future solar panel install, fingers crossed). Highly recommend and will definitely use them again for future electric work.
